If you have read my blog for a while, you know that it’s the things we cannot see that block us the most from having what we want. If your goal is to live a thriving life and make a good living from your passions, money blocks may be some of your biggest obstacles to having what you want in abundance.

As Einstein said: “Everything is energy and that’s all there is. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics.”

You may have heard about chakras. Chakras are part of your energy body. Every human being and living thing on the planet has chakras. Chakras are energy wheels spinning through your body. The human body has 7 main chakras, starting at the bottom of your spine going up to the top of your head.

Think of the chakras as wheels of invisible energy full of programming. This programming dictates what you get in all areas of your life. I suppose you could think of it as an energy blueprint.  If all your chakras are balanced, and your energy is flowing the way it was meant to flow – then everything in your life works effortlessly. You are healthy, happy and live an abundant life.

However, if one or more of your chakras are imbalanced, you will have issues in the areas related to the particular chakra that is out of balance. Each chakra governs certain areas of your life, and as a result, if that chakra is imbalanced, that area of your life will be affected.

The chakras can become unbalanced due to lifestyle habits, unprocessed emotions, trauma, childhood experiences, beliefs, effects of your environment, thoughts, beliefs and the food you eat. Your energy body is in constant interaction with the world around you.

Anything that is in misalignment in your life will first show up as a misalignment in your energy field and then it will manifest into your physical reality. Making sure your chakras are balanced on a daily basis is one great way to make your life work and to create health, abundance, joy and flow in your life.

Let’s talk about how an imbalance in each of the chakras can block you from having abundance flow to you. These are 7 ways your energy may be blocking abundance through your chakras:

1st Chakra/Root Chakra

The first chakra sits at the tip of your spine. It governs your feelings of safety, security and survival. If your first chakra is blocked, you may not feel safe in this world or you may feel unsupported. You don’t feel nurtured, but you feel like you always have to spend your energy on staying safe.  An imbalance in this chakra will often manifest in money issues, and not having enough.

Affirmation to help balance the root chakra:

I am safe and supported and my needs are always met.

2nd chakra/Sacral Chakra

Your second chakra is all about your emotions, creativity, sexuality and ability to accept change. This is the area of the womb, which has the potential to create life. It’s the center of your creativity. An imbalance in this area could cause creative blocks which will cause you to procrastinate on creative projects that could bring in abundance to your business. Your relationship with money also rests in this area. If you have had traumatic experiences with regards to money, they are often stored in this chakra – and thereby preventing you from manifesting what you want around money.

I joyfully create and receive blessings in return

3rd Chakra/Power Chakra

This is where your personal power is stored. An imbalance in this chakra can lead to giving away your power away to others, and having a victim mentality which easily translates into money problems.  An imbalance in this chakra may also cause you to think you have to work really hard to make money, and stop the natural flow from coming to you. When this chakra is balanced, you will experience synchronicities where what you need literally shows up at your doorstep with little effort.

Affirmation to balance the third chakra:

I use my power wisely and I stand up for myself

4th chakra/Heart Chakra

The heart chakra governs your love for yourself and others as well as giving and receiving. An imbalance in the heart chakra can prevent you from receiving love – ie, money, gifts, help from others that will help you get what you want in life. A lack of loving yourself will also create an energy of rejecting or repelling love (or money) coming to you from others. You may also not love yourself enough to allow yourself to have the abundance you really want.

Affirmation to help balance your heart chakra:

I give and receive love freely. (Here you can easily replace love with anything you want, such as money)

5th Chakra/Throat Chakra

This chakra governs speaking and operating from your truth and self expression. An imbalance in this chakra may cause you to want to not be seen in the world. As a result, you may be hiding in your business, not taking on opportunities for fear of being seen or speaking your truth. As a result people are not seeing your brilliance, and this can easily translate into your financial life as less money flowing your way.

Affirmation to balance your throat chakra:

I know who I am and I speak my truth freely.

6th Chakra/Third Eye

The 6th chakra governs your intuition and awareness. An imbalance in this chakra may block you from seeing clearly the path ahead or from listening to your intuition. As a result of this imbalance you may feel confused about how to proceed and not take the inspired action you are being guided to take. As a result, you may lose out on opportunities and synchronicities that would help you receive what it is that you want.

Affirmation to balance your 6th chakra:

I trust my intuition and I take inspired action

7th Chakra/Crown Chakra

Your 7th chakra connects you to your spiritual knowledge, wisdom and understanding. A balanced crown chakra helps you feel aligned with the universe. You trust that you are cared for and that you will get what you need. This trust in turn will allow the universe to shower you with anything you want and need. An imbalance in this chakra may cause you to not trust the flow of life and the support from the universe, and you may feel like you have to do it all by yourself – sweat and tears. You are not sensing that there is a larger universe at work helping you get what you want and need and that you can simply lean in and trust that you are always taken care of and loved by the universe.

Affirmation to balance your 7th chakra:

I trust that the Universe supports me in giving me what I want/need.

There are many ways to balance the chakras;  Food, lifestyle choices, our thoughts, beliefs and our environment all affect our chakras on a daily basis.
