As we’re getting towards the end of the year and you’re setting your intentions for what you want to create in the New Year I thought it would be appropriate to talk about how to set yourself up for success – from an energetic perspective.

Feng Shui is a system of laws considered to govern spatial arrangement and orientation in relation to the flow of energy. The idea is that proper arrangement of things will help attract things you want into your life.

Have you heard the saying that nature abhors a vacuum and the universe will always fill a vacuum? In other words, when you let go of the things you don’t need, you open up the space for good things to enter into your life.

What are you holding onto that you need to let go of?

When you set the intention that you want to make more money in your business, you also need to make sure you open up the space for that to happen energetically.

Below are 5 steps you can take right now to make room for the good things you want to flow into your life:

1)    Cut the clutter: Clear out your office and get rid of all the things you don’t need. Donate any books you no longer need, throw away paperwork or files that are no longer in use. Get rid of everything that doesn’t have a purpose in your office.

2)    Make sure your financial systems are in order. Money doesn’t like to fall into chaos. If you’re not keeping good track of your money, you’re not giving a signal to the universe that you want (and are able to handle) more.

How are you keeping track of your money? Do you have good systems around your finances or are your finances a mess? If your systems are a mess or you lack systems, I encourage you to start cleaning things up now.

Keep track of your income and expenses and hire a bookkeeper if you don’t have one.

3)    Clean out your email inbox.

4)    Create a folder for each new client you want to attract. You can do this both on your computer and create a paper folder. This sends a signal to the universe that you are ready to receive.

5)    Make sure your office feels good and that everything you need is at an arm’s length. When you’re working, you want to be able to reach most things you need easily. Make sure your space is designed for easy access.

Getting rid of all the clutter will help give you the space for the things you really need.

What else do you need to let go of? Maybe there are relationships in your life that are no longer serving you or maybe you’re even holding onto a part of your business that is no longer in alignment.
