Intuition is defined as the ability to understand something immediately without the need for conscious reasoning. Most people today are so stuck in their head that they block out their intuition and if they get an intuitive flash, they often disregard it.

Many years ago, when I had my consulting business I kept getting messages that I needed to leave what I was doing. I had a very successful business that was literally a cash machine but I kept getting messages that I was on the wrong track.

When I thought about leaving it and not knowing what else to do, it didn’t make any sense. What else would I be doing? Because I couldn’t reason with it I stayed longer than I should have.

I didn’t listen to my intuition. Whenever we don’t listen, it will take us down rabbit holes. It will keep us stuck on a track that is not true for us. We think we’re so smart that we can figure everything out, but the truth is, your intuition knows better than anything else. It can pinpoint for you exactly what you need to do, even when those things won’t make any sense in the moment.

However, I’ve learned that when you look back, it all makes perfect sense when you actually listen and follow the guidance you receive.

So how does this show up in your business? I always say that one size does not fit all in business. You’ve got to do what’s right for you, not what’s right for someone else. Your business needs to be aligned with who you are at the core and in order for that to happen you need to listen to your intuition and learn to TRUST it.

I’ve found that a lot of the business owners who are not getting the results they want initially started doing something that was not in alignment. They listened to advice from others and took it without figuring out how that advice applies to them specifically. This often leads them to more struggle and less income.

Your logical mind is not seeing the full picture, but your ego mind will try to convince you that you do.

Trusting your intuition means that you must be willing to bow to your head, even if that sometimes makes no sense at all. It can involve dropping what you are doing for doing something else, or doing something you are completely terrified of doing. I get why it’s a lot easier to rely on your brain to figure things out, but the problem is your brain doesn’t know everything and it’s not designed to make accurate decisions even though it likes to think so.

Your intuition knows things you don’t know and that’s why it’s telling you to do something you don’t understand. You are not seeing the full picture but your ego might try to convince you you do.

Once you learn to better understand the laws of the Universe it will free your mind and give you the courage to follow your intuition.  Just like there are physical laws of nature, there are also spiritual laws that govern your success. The sooner you understand how to leverage these laws, the easier it will be to follow your intuition.

The net is not created before you jump, you need to jump first, and then the net will appear.  But unless you make the decision to jump, you are likely not going to see the net appear at all. You need to decide first.
